ACCREDITATIONS
ASIC -Accreditation Service for International Colleges
ASIC is an independent body, recognised by the Border and Immigration Agency (Home
Office) and approved by Ofsted, which provides an accreditation service for independent
further and higher education colleges.
ASIC accreditation gives reassurance to potential international (overseas) students,
their parents and education representatives that the operation of their chosen college
conforms with relevant United Kingdom laws and offers genuine courses, which are
delivered to appropriate standards with acceptable quality, and which lead to recognised
qualifications. Accreditation also provides reassurance to the Border and Immigration
Agency that the college meets their requirements (section 4.2 H) and, in general,
does not harm the perceived quality of the United Kingdom education provision.
ABE - The Association of Business Executives
The Association of Business Executives (ABE) is a professional membership body and
an examination board. ABE offers high quality business qualification worldwide and

AIA - The Association of International Accountants
The Association of International Accountants (AIA) was founded in the UK in 1928
as a professional accountancy body and from conception has promoted the concept
of ‘international accounting’ to create a global network of accountants in over
85 countries worldwide.
AIA is recognised by the UK Government as a Recognised Qualifying Body for statutory
auditors under the Companies Act 2006, as a Prescribed Body under the Companies
(Auditing and Accounting) Act 2003 in the Republic of Ireland, and members qualified
as a statutory auditor and registered with a Recognised Supervisory Body (RSB) are
able to seek registration as a statutory auditor across the European Union. AIA
has supervisory status for its members in the Money Laundering Regulations 2007
and has recognition to operate in the National Qualifications Framework as an Awarding
Body. The AIA professional qualification is currently recognised in over 30 countries
worldwide.
CTH - Confederation of Tourism & Hospitality
CTH is an awarding body approved by Ofqual, DCELLS and CCEA who are the official
regulators of qualifications, exams and tests in England, Wales and Northern Ireland
respectively.
CTH works in partnership with the Guild of Travel Management Companies, Virgin Atlantic
Airways, Star Alliance and Galileo delivering world class fares and ticketing and
GDS Training.
CTH provides recognised standards of Management training appropriate to the needs
of the Hotel Tourism and Travel industries through its Syllabi, examinations and
awards. These are continually improved to ensure that they are relevant and up to
